• Steris Revital-Ox™ RESERT™ High Level Disinfectant is an FDA-cleared high-level disinfectant solution specifically designed for reprocessing reusable medical devices.
• High-Level Disinfection of Semi-Critical Devices: Intended for high-level disinfection of reusable semi-critical medical instruments in clinical settings. Use Revital-Ox HLD to reprocess devices such as ultrasound probes and flexible endoscopes, as well as other heat-sensitive instruments that contact mucous membranes or intact skin. It’s ideal for cases where sterilization isn’t feasible, ensuring these devices are safe for the next patient without damaging delicate components.
• Fast 8-Minute Contact Time: Achieves complete high-level disinfection in just 8 minutes at 20°C (68°F). This rapid contact time dramatically shortens instrument turnaround, improving workflow in busy clinics and endoscope reprocessing departments.
• 2% Hydrogen Peroxide Formula (AHP): Powered by a low-concentration 2.0% accelerated hydrogen peroxide solution as the active ingredient. Despite its mild formulation, it delivers broad-spectrum antimicrobial efficacy – effective against hardy pathogens including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and mycobacteria (e.g. TB). The oxidative chemistry provides a safe alternative to aldehyde-based disinfectants (no glutaraldehyde or OPA), minimizing risk of toxic residue and material damage.
• Compatible with Delicate Instruments: Designed to be gentle on medical device materials while still highly effective. The lower peroxide concentration and non-corrosive formulation mean Revital-Ox is compatible with sensitive equipment (plastics, rubbers, metals) often found in flexible endoscopes and ultrasound transducers. It won’t fixate organic soils or harm instrument components, helping extend the lifespan of your tools.
• Low Odor & No Special Ventilation: Formulated without harsh chemicals that produce strong fumes or vapors. Revital-Ox HLD is virtually odorless, containing no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). No special exhaust hoods or ventilation upgrades are required for its use under normal conditions, enhancing user comfort and safety in reprocessing rooms (especially compared to potent-smelling glutaraldehyde solutions).
• Biodegradable & One-Rinse Formula: Revital-Ox is environmentally friendly – its ingredients are biodegradable, breaking down into water and oxygen with no harmful residues. The solution rinses off easily; only a single water rinse is needed to remove it from instruments. This one-rinse feature saves time and water while ensuring no toxic chemicals remain on devices that go back to patients.
