Unlike glutaraldehyde, which can "fix" proteins to surfaces if cleaning is not perfect, Revital-Ox RESERT is an oxidative chemistries that does not bind proteins. This makes the rinsing process safer and reduces the risk of toxic residue being left on the device.
2. Compliance & Monitoring
To remain compliant with Joint Commission or AAAHC standards, HLD solutions must be tested before every use.
- Test Strip Requirement: Use only Revital-Ox R60 Test Strips.
- MRC (Minimum Recommended Concentration): 1.5%.
- Verification: A "Pass" is indicated by a uniform blue/purple color change on the R60 strip after 60 seconds.
